About Maurice
Maurice Trosclair was born and raised in the Crescent City, from Pigeon Town in the Carrollton area of New Orleans. He studied music and communications at the University of New Orleans. Evolving with technology from the mainframe to the P.C., over the years his skill set grew not only in geosciences but also in creative marketing and multimedia. This technical background would eventually fuel another career path of becoming a multimedia specialist. As a musician, over the years Maurice has performed with many musical groups with both local and national appeal. He has toured with Bonerama and Delfeayo Marsalis and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra. Perhaps, most notably he's the former leader of New Orleans' legendary cover band, The Nobles (formed in 1959) with whom he performed for 25 years until the band retired in 2012. He has also written and produced many of his original recording projects including most recently his album Grateful - A sudden cardiac arrest survivor's awakening in 2019. Maurice earned the nickname "Miracle Meaux after surviving a sudden cardiac arrest on February 14, 2017. He is well known for his positive energy, technical skills, musical dedication and unwavering passion for his hometown, New Orleans.
